Gratitude, and What Comes Next

It’s been a full workweek since Threads of Light stepped into the world—and what a quietly beautiful launch it’s been.

Thank you to everyone who’s purchased a copy, shared the news, or sent a kind note my way. Indie books often arrive softly—but your support has made this week glow.

I’m especially touched by two new 5-star reviews for The Second Coming of Grace from U.S. readers. One of them wrote:

“Grace is a relatable character who creates a web of friendships and new experiences, accompanied by descriptive and unforgettably peaceful surroundings.”

That word—peaceful—has stayed with me. Because peace is often what these stories are searching for, even when the journey gets messy. And Threads of Light carries that same energy: of memory, healing, and the spaces between.

So what’s next?

For now, I’m taking a breath. Letting the stories settle into their own lives. Watching where the light lands. And, yes—writing again.

If you haven’t yet explored the new collection, you can find Threads of Light in paperback or ebook through:

  • Barnes & Noble (affordable and easy)
  • Bookshop.org (support your local indie)
  • Amazon (note: paperback should be listed as “from $3.99” on the US site — some page loads give the price as much too high, so keep trying)

Or visit my full bookshelf here: naomivondell.com/works

Thank you for reading.
Thank you for seeing.
And thank you for walking this creative road with me.

With light,
Naomi 💫

Naomi Vondell

Naomi Vondell is a Canadian writer of literary fiction with spiritual undertones, emotional resonance, and a touch of quiet humour. She holds a Master’s degree in clinical psychology and worked for years as a psychometrist before turning to fiction full-time. She earned her Creative Writing Certificate from the University of Toronto and studied screenwriting through UCLA Extension, where she trained with industry professionals—including a Star Trek: The Next Generation writer.
