Meet Tobias, Liam, and the Circle Around Grace

Every heroine’s journey is shaped by the people who walk beside her—and sometimes, the ones who stand in her way.

The Second Coming of Grace isn’t just about spiritual awakening or ancestral memory. It’s also a story about relationships: the way they challenge us, mirror us, frustrate us, and ultimately invite us to grow. Grace doesn’t walk this path alone. She couldn’t.

Here are a few of the key figures in her orbit:

Liam Russell

Liam is Grace’s best friend—and in many ways, her anchor. A psychology student with an open heart and a sharp mind, he meets Grace at Future Bakery and becomes the person who truly sees her. He’s also gay, from a conservative Oakville family that’s struggled to accept him as he is. His own journey of self-acceptance allows him to offer Grace something rare: nonjudgmental presence.

Liam brings warmth, humour, and clarity. He’s the friend who asks hard questions gently, and who believes in Grace even when she falters. He also has a quietly growing love story of his own.

Tobias Michaels

Tobias is… complicated. Still waters with deep roots. A quiet man with auburn hair and eyes the colour of a storm clearing. He’s grounded in Celtic tradition, raised with reverence for the land and the wisdom of ancestors. Grace meets him under strange, almost fated circumstances—and there’s a pull between them that neither fully understands at first.

Tobias challenges Grace to let someone in. To trust. To allow herself to be seen not just as an actress, but as a soul. Their relationship is slow to unfold, tender, at times tense—but ultimately becomes a mirror for Grace’s own transformation.

The Circle Around Her

There are others, too.
Krystle, her ambitious and complex agent.
Sigrid, the antagonist who stirs old insecurities.
Rivka, her grandmother, who carries living memory.
Celeste, the mystery woman who may not be fully of this world.
Evelyn, the mentor who plants seeds without demanding outcomes.

Each one reflects a piece of Grace back to herself—some in love, some in friction, some in silence.

In the end, Grace’s journey isn’t just about reclaiming a forgotten past. It’s about learning how to stand in the present—held, haunted, and healed by the people who walk alongside her.
